The word enough is so powerful. We use it to make statements. Personally, I had to eliminate it from my vocabulary all together to heal my mind, heart, and spirit.
My first business was a nonprofit. I hit burnout pretty hard a few years into it. When I finally stopped running and gave myself permission to accept burnout, I also accepted the fact that I was solely responsible for my burnout, patterns, and behaviors.
One day, I decided to really look at how my patterns and behaviors were formed. As a storyteller turned entrepreneur, I looked at my journals first. I went back through my journals and read old entries. I was shocked by my own words.
I had created my own burnout in my daily journal entries. The word enough was everywhere. I tossed it around like confetti.
I would show gratitude for a check that came in that was enough to cover a bill. And then I did it the next day. And the day after that. I asked for enough support and help to get through an event or enough time to get through all my tasks. All I manifested was a financial flow just enough to cover what I needed covered. I was always running late because I never had the time to take between meetings.
Our vocabulary acts like a powerful magnet. The words we use to attract the very definition to us.
Merriam-Webster defines enough as equal to what is needed.
Merriam-Webster defines need as a lack of something necessary, desirable or useful.
When we proclaim anything in life as enough we simply draw in just enough to equal what we currently have or do not have.
Awareness and awakening is my favorite aspect of spiritual development. Recognizing that I was in control of my language and could select to use higher vibrational words to attract higher vibrational outcomes was like turning on a light switch.
The word welcome became my go-to word.
Look through your journals, notes, emails, and thoughts. Write down three words you’re using on an ongoing basis. Feel into them. Can you replace them with higher vibrational words to attract a better outcome?
What words can you replace them with today? You may have to shift your entire sentence around just to avoid using a word like enough. It will be worth it though in the end.
When I stopped enough-ing, I allowed what I really welcomed into my life! As a result of changing just a few simple words in my vocabulary, I found a new level of peace and happiness in myself. And as a result, I attracted more opportunities to be peace-filled and happy.
Your vocabulary can attract many possibilities to you. You’re worthy of all of this and more. Get to shifting your vocabulary and watch what shifts in your world.
