The Positive Trap

If you read any personal development book, how to start or build your business, and a great number of wellness books, somewhere you’ll come across a section or reference to the importance of having a positive mind set or positive attitude.

Over the years as a life coach and business mentor I have spent many hours working with clients helping them develop a more positive outlook to both their personal lives and the challenges they face day to day in their careers.

In March 2015 my understanding of having a positive mindset started to be challenged when I received a head injury that left me unable to talk properly for nearly 2 months and after 9 months I still had various functional issues with various parts of my body due to my mind not communicating properly. Throughout this challenging time my family and friends encouraged me to stay ‘positive’. However, I started to realize the more I focused on being positive the more a feeling of frustration was building deep in me.

In January this year I was running a Quantum Walking workshop, towards the end of the day I took the group on a guided Quantum Walk. This is a type of transcendental meditation where you meet yourself in a parallel multiverse and exchange knowledge and energy that will empower you in the now. Part of the Quantum Walk allows you to ask questions of your other self’s. So as I sat with my other self I asked him how I could relieve the growing frustration I’d been feeling.

Now I should explain when communicating with yourself in another multiverse the communication is sometimes very subtle. My other self said nothing verbally he simply drew a line in the dirt with a plus sign at one end and a minus at the other, he then wrote “BE” in the middle of the line.

As with a lot of things in life just as they get interesting reality calls and this was the case that day. I drifted back to the room my students sat in. Some had also returned and sat discussing what they’d experienced and what it might mean. I didn’t get the chance to think about the message I’d received on my Quantum Walk until I arrived home that evening. After careful thought I was sure I was being guided to become more balanced and except that life is meant to be a blend of positive and negative.

I started to study the different people I was coaching and to my surprise found that many although they seemed to have a positive mindset in fact felt an inner frustration with the world like I had. The energy they used every day to be positive in fact was draining them and making them feel lost and off track. I started to dig deeper and found many where living their lives chasing other people’s dreams and goals. They had been conditioned by society to become a certain type of person, working in a career that stressed them out most of the time, living a lifestyle that meant that they had very little real control of their happiness. They had fallen into The Positive Trap!!

In early June I was working with a client, she had just had a season of kinesiology with me that had involved meridian energy balancing and was 10 minutes into a Quantum Walk when she suddenly opened her eyes and asked me why I’d just appeared in her Quantum Walk saying she needed to embrace the blissful emotion! I was a bit shocked at first as no one had ever said I’d been in their Quantum Walk and it was rare to be given such a clear message.

As she sat up she touched my arm and I had a flash back to the line in the dirt and the letters BE. I understood what my other self, had been trying to say back in January.

If we can truly just be our authentic selves in all we do and not wear the positive mask we think others want to see, then we will start to find balance both in our external lives, but more importantly we will find balance deep within our bodies that we will help us embrace the Blissful Emotion that can change the world we all live in so many amazing ways.

If you don’t already do some form of meditation twice a day for 20 minutes at a time, now is the perfect time to start, the clarity you will feel after seven days will help you tap into a new source of creative blissful energy that will take you and your Spiritual biz to amazing new places. It will help release you from the Positive Trap!
