Create a Facebook Community that Doesn’t Suck

fashion-1636870_1920In my last article, I talked about how easy it is to get clients on Facebook, and 3 easy ways to fall back in love with Facebook. CLICK HERE to read it if you missed.
Now that you love Facebook again, I want to share with you the BEST feature on the platform: Communities!

Facebook Communities are a GREAT way to get fans, connect with people who want to work with you, and get REAL paying clients! I’ve made over $21,000 this week from my community.

But it wasn’t always this way. In order to create an AMAZING community, you need to set up some ground rules and some guidelines. You need to have a PLAN for your community.

Do this, and it will pay off. BIG TIME.

  1. Make your community about something other than what you’re selling. Your message is BIGGER than what you sell. You want a cause that people can get excited about, something they will tell their friends about, and a reason for them to want to come to your community!

Never call your community anything like Susan’s Make-Up Sales group or Janice’s Nail Wrap Salon. People don’t care. Instead, tell them why they should care – because they’ll feel more beautiful, meet other like-minded people, or even the man of their dreams!

  1. Set up Guidelines FIRST. Do not wait for the spammy spammersons to come in or ASSUME that everyone knows not to spend all day dropping links and advertising their products or programs.

Be proactive and decide exactly what you will – and will not – allow in your community. Before you start inviting people!

  1. Send messages to invite people to your community. NEVER add people to your community without their permission! Facebook makes it easy to do, but it is considered extremely rude and very poor internet etiquette.

Instead, write a quick message about WHY someone would want to show up in your community, how it will benefit them, and then copy and paste that bad boy to your 583 Facebook friends!

Yes, it takes some time and effort, but it is SO worth it to grow your own Facebook Community.
